Welcome to the Dr. Martin Walton House! The Walton House is a historic home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, located in Springfield, Tennessee. Although the address is officially listed in Springfield, most consider the home to be part of the Cross Plains community. The home belonged to two family lines from 1809 to 2019, and its roots run deep in Robertson County history. The descendants of the home's second family still own the surrounding farm and our only mission is to preserve the home, as well as all the stories that go with it. There are a multitude of opportunities to visit the homes of presidents, generals, and famous Americans but there are few opportunities to visit and learn about the homes of ordinary people from rural communities in the 1800s. That's our mission with the Walton house! Feel free to explore our site to learn more or stop by! We can't wait to meet you and for you to meet our team!

Daytime tours of The Walton House are always 100% free.
